-
Beginning the week of January 5, 2009, there will be a substantial
change in the collection schedule for recyclable materials.
-
There is no change in the level of service, this is only a schedule
change.
-
If you live in the unincorporated portions of Port Washington,
or the Villages of Port Washington North and Baxter Estates,
you MAY be affected.
-
If you live in the Villages of Sands Point, Manorhaven, or Flower
Hill, you are NOT affected by this change.
-
Beginning the week of January 5, 2009, recyclables will only be
collected on Fridays and Saturdays. If your recyclables are currently
collected on those days, there is probably be no change in your
service.
-
If your recyclables are currently collected on Wednesday or Thursday,
your schedule will change. In the large majority of cases, if your
recycling is currently collected on Wednesday, your new day for
recycling will be Friday. If your recycling is currently collected
on Thursday, your new day for recycling will be Saturday.
-
-
The first day of this new service schedule will be Friday, January
8. Recyclables will NOT be collected on Wednesday, January 6 or
Thursday January 7.
-
This change is being implemented to improve the efficiency and
overall level of service for solid waste collection within the Port
Washington Garbage Distinct.
